For some people the 1400 rpm spin speed will be a limitation and you will need to look further if you really want 1600 or higher. Another downside of this washing machine is the fact that it comes with a 6 kg drum.

I was an owner of a hotpoint wml540 EcoTech washer in grey/graphite silver. Bought it in April 2012 as part of my bedroom extension and it lasted for over 3 years. it broke because its motherboard wouldn't work but it was still a very good machine, even though it was very noisy sometimes. I did not really like its balancing system because I remember it used to spin very unbalanced with big loads, especially towels. I think this could be because the distribution was not fast enough or it didn't balance the load properly, but I must say that I did like the chug on the pump. the hotpoint wml540 ecotech washer was very reliable because it always washed things to a very good standard with the help of the 1400 rpm maximum spin speed, and also, it was a very good buy because I bought it for only £180 as it was on special offer at the time.
