Cleaning performance is great, as most Miele models are. Also the build quality is great and operating the Miele W3164 washing machine is real easy and intuitive. So the question really becomes is this machine worth spending almost double for the same features you get with models from competitors. The short answer is no.
A 7kg washing machine with a maximum spin speed of 1400 rpm is simply not worth the very high price point set by mile. This particular machine is also not noticeably quieter than other models. The only thing you are paying for is the excellent reliability of Miele.

Overall this Miele W316 review shows that his model is not worth the high price point. If it would have a better energy efficiency, slightly larger drum and/or 1600 rpm it be worth the extra costs. but now the 5 year warranty that you are paying for is simply two washing machines, for that money you can risk it with a cheaper model and if it would break within 5 years, you just simply buy a new one.
